In 2014, the Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) created a contest called the “Battle for the Golden Megaphone,” with the goal to promote sportsmanship and POSITIVE school spirit from the fans in the increasingly popular student cheering sections at basketball games across the state. Executive Director Jerry Snodgrass looks to promote the positive aspects of student leadership while also allowing the OHSAA connect more with its member schools and students through social media.
After a successful year, the Edgewood High School Den was named one of the finalist for the 2020 Golden Megaphone award. The students were surprised on Friday when Executive Director, Jerry Snodgrass, Face timed the students to inform them of the recognition. Please click on the link below to take you to the video of the students reaction to finding out that they are one of the finalists. Congrats to the Den and thank you to everyone who has supported our student-athletes this winter season.
